The incident with Valya Harkonnen using the voice is from the one called “Mentats of Dune.” The three books intertwine the development of the Brotherhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors. I knew it couldn’t be as good as the movies, but I didn’t expect it to be so…
There is no depth, the conversations are sometimes quite corny
mediocre. For a second I thought this was an Amazon production, not HBO. For some roles, the right actors were not chosen; not because the actors are bad, but because they are not suited to the role.
Also, in some scenes I wonder why they bothered to do them
There is too much going on in the first episode and they jump from one scene to the next as if they were rushed. There are no special effects really, it seems a bit low budget. I don’t know what camera they used, but the shots seem too simple.
